Porcelana Medicated Fade Cream

Developed both the brand and category of medicated fade creams in 1981.

Porcelana was created by Himmel based on a television commercial in Mexico for Camay Soap. The commercial highlighted the soap’s ability to make skin clean like porcelain. Following product and packaging development work, Porcelana was introduced in the late 1970’s as the product for women who had 'ugly age or liver spots' on their skin. Year-round television and radio advertising behind the Brand built sales from $0 in 1979 to $14 million in 1985.

In December 1986, Porcelana was sold to The Dep Corporation.
